Q. Why do the Old London products show OU D (which is OU Dairy)? I do not see any dairy ingredients?
A. Kosher law dictates that when you make dairy products on a line that also makes Parve products, if the temperature level is not maintained, all products have to be listed as OU Dairy.
Q: What is the shelf life of Old London snacks?
A: All Old London snacks have “best used by dates” stamped on the bag.
The best used by dates indicate when we have estimated our product to be at their best quality. Unopened or opened. As foods naturally age and depending on storage conditions, they may become stale, develop off colors and flavors, as well as lose nutritional value.
Q. Does the supplier of the palm oil used in New York Style products participate in the Sustainable Palm Sourcing Initiative?
A. Our palm oil suppliers actively support the RSPO and are committed to helping lead efforts to move the palm oil industry towards more sustainable production in an effort to protect the homes of indigenous peoples and countless other precious species. The Palm Oil Supplier we use has received RSPO certification. Additionally our suppliers are in collaboration with WWF to gauge progress on implementing the RSPO standards.
As part of the Sustainable Palm Sourcing Initiative our suppliers fully support and play a full and active roll with business partners, governments, non-governmental organizations and communities to foster sustainable, responsible practices throughout the supply chain.
